200
Foundation Teacher Training
For committed practitioners with at least two years of regular practice. Graduates are eligible to register as RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance.
Yoga Alliance registered 200-hour and 300-hour programmes. Residential blocks in Portugal and Scotland, supervised study in between, and a faculty that has trained more than six hundred teachers.
Two pathways
Both programmes combine residential immersion with structured home study, so you can train seriously without stepping away from work and family for a full month.
200
For committed practitioners with at least two years of regular practice. Graduates are eligible to register as RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance.
300
For RYT 200 teachers with a year of teaching behind them. Modular and spread over eighteen months, leading to RYT 500 eligibility.
200-hour curriculum
Our curriculum meets and exceeds the Yoga Alliance 2020 standards for a Registered Yoga School. Contact hours are delivered in person or live online — nothing is pre-recorded.
The backbone of the programme: posture families, alignment principles and safe progressions for standing, seated, inverted and backbending postures. Daily led practice plus technique labs.
Taught by Dr. Hannah Okafor, chartered physiotherapist. Functional anatomy for movement teachers — joints, fascia, the nervous system and the breath — with an emphasis on recognising individual variation rather than prescribing a single correct shape.
History and philosophy of yoga from the Upanishads to modern postural practice. Close reading of the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, alongside ethics for contemporary teachers: consent, scope of practice and trauma awareness.
Teaching methodology, sequencing, voice and the art of observation. Trainees teach from week one in small peer groups, building to fully supervised public classes in block two.
Twenty hours of observed teaching, written reflection and a final practical assessment. Every graduate receives a written report from two faculty members and a follow-up mentoring call three months after graduation.

Life on a residential block
Residential days run from 06:45 to 19:30 with a long midday break. Mornings are for practice and technique; afternoons for anatomy, philosophy and teaching labs. One full day off each week.
We cap cohorts at twenty-two so that every trainee is observed teaching by a senior faculty member at least once a day. You’ll leave with a body of real feedback, not just a certificate.
Faculty
Every lead trainer is E-RYT 500 or a registered health professional. Guest faculty for the 300-hour programme include specialists in pre- and postnatal yoga and yoga therapy.
Founder & Lead Trainer
E-RYT 500. Twenty years of teaching, trained in Mysore and London. Leads the 200-hour programme.
Mountain Programmes
Certified Alpine guide and yoga teacher based in Bolzano. Designs every Dolomites itinerary.
Anatomy & Physiology
Chartered physiotherapist (HCPC) specialising in hypermobility and spinal health.
Meditation & Highlands
Former Buddhist monastic, teaches Vipassana-based practice and leads our Scottish retreats.
Admissions
At least two years of regular practice (three or more classes a week), a short written application and a conversation with a member of faculty. We are looking for curiosity and commitment, not advanced postures.
Yes — around a fifth of each cohort train to deepen their own practice. You’ll complete the same assessments as everyone else.
Yes. Both residential blocks are fully residential with shared or single rooms and all meals. Room options are explained in the prospectus.
Up to ten contact hours can be made up through recorded tutorials and a supervised make-up session. Beyond that, hours can be completed with the following cohort.
